Excursions to Tarifa and the Costa del Luz
The Costa de la Luz
borders the Costa del Sol and Portugal and is a haven for wild life,
particularly birds, as it is relatively unspoilt. It is on the Atlantic coast
which can be very windy and is popular with wind surfers who flock here in
summer to Tarifa, a medieval arabic town. Because of it’s exceptionally clear
light it is also a mecca for artists. On most days there are clear views out
over the sea to the mountains of Morocco in the African continent which is just
a few kilometres away.
